Check under settings for comments to see if you've disabled html for pictures. Also, ask whoever commented if they got the image hosted on a site such as photobucket.com. If they just copied and pasted from google images or something, most likely, the picture won't come up.
Or maybe just try right-clicking it and selecting "show image".
